More than sixty musicians will perform during fundraising gala event

 

More than 60 musicians will be performing at fundraising concert – ‘Out of this World’ at the Sacred Heart Church in Wimbledon on May 18.

 

The 40-strong award-winning London Accordion Orchestra and the musical stars of the Sacred Heart will be performing a repertoire to entertain all, with a licensed bar and refreshments available in the parish grounds, at 2pm before the performance and during the interval.

 

The gala concert will feature more than 60 musicians - for accordion, piano, the 1912 Walker organ, strings, percussion, voice and Katy’s Songbirds- a newly formed local ladies choir.

Bob Rathbone playing Widor's Toccata on the Walker 1912 organ

Giles Kennedy is playing the Rhapsody in Blue on our beautiful Steinway

Katy’s Songbirds will be joining the London Accordion Orchestra for the splendid “I Vow To Thee My Country” and more

Rachel and John Marshall will be putting their all into Haydn

The London Accordion Orchestra will be premiering Ian Watson’s latest composition “Black Mountain”.
