Challenging the boundaries of conventional filmmaking
A short film festival will be taking place in Wimbledon next month showcasing UK and international films.
The Wimbledon International Short Film Festival, part of Wimbledon Film Club, will have its awards night on October 7.
The festival is dedicated to films that challenge or shift the boundaries of conventional filmmaking, as long as they are under 15 minutes long.
The awards event will screen the festival's official selection of films followed by a prize giving. Hundreds of narrative, animation and documentary films have been reviewed by industry experts in order to make up the selected films.
It takes place from from 7.30pm on October 7 at Wimbledon Bookfest's Big Tent on Wimbledon Common and is hosted by The Guardian film critic Xan Brooks.
