A police car was involved in a serious collision with another vehicle in Brentford this Friday afternoon (12 September).

The force of the contact, which took place shortly after midday on Boston Manor Road, was enough to force the Met’s vehicle under a large silver Mercedes saloon.

The Fire Brigade and ambulance service were called to the scene and the drivers of both vehicles as well as all passengers were examined before being deemed to not have any major injuries.

The incident occurred just to the south of the Brentford Health Centre. According to unconfirmed eye-witness reports, the Mercedes, which was being driven by a woman with a small child in the rear, was pulling out onto the road when it collided with the police car.

A London Ambulance Service spokesperson said, “We sent resources to the scene, including ambulance crews, a paramedic in a fast response car, an incident response officer, a clinical team manager and paramedics from our hazardous area response team (HART).

“Our first paramedic arrived on scene in four minutes."

One person involved in the collision was treated and cleared at the scene, two adults and a child were taken to hospital by ambulance and another adult was taken by the police. All were found to have injuries that were not life changing or life threatening.
