Sam’s Waterside in Brentford has announce a pack-programme of summer events the highlight of which is a fundraising event for the canal festival.
On Wednesday 3 June, Sam’s will host a special Brentford Canal Festival Dinner & Auction, raising funds for the popular annual event organised by the non-profit group Brentford Voice. The Canal Festival has grown steadily over the past decade into the largest free festival in the borough drawing more than 7,000 visitors each year to the waterfront for music, food, heritage activities and family-friendly entertainment.
This year’s festival takes place on Saturday 20 June, transforming the canal-side into a lively celebration of Brentford’s waterways, history and cultural diversity. It’s a day that brings together residents, local organisations, artists, traders and volunteers — a genuine community effort that remains free to attend thanks to fundraising and local support.
The dinner at Sam’s is designed to help keep it that way. Each ticket includes a £30 donation to the festival, alongside a glass of Gusbourne English Sparkling on arrival, canapés and a three-course set menu (with vegetarian and vegan alternatives available). A live auction will run through the evening, with Sam himself stepping up as auctioneer to help raise as much as possible for the festival’s future.
Tickets are £95 per person, and demand is expected to be high so book your tickets quickly.
The Canal Festival dinner sits within a wider June programme at Sam’s Waterside, which includes:
Each tasting runs from 6.30pm to 8pm and costs £50 per person, with the option to stay for dinner afterwards.
