Christmas Spirit Abounds at The Six Bells

The true spirit of Christmas is being epitomised at The Six Bells in Brentford this year with a number of special guests over this festive season.
On Saturday 9 December, with his sleigh currently in for repairs, Santa will be borrowing the Fuller’s dray horses, Griffin and Price, for a day. Starting at the Beehive they will make their way to The Six Bells for a special event for children running from 12 noon and 4pm. Santa will be in his grotto and some of his elves are likely to be on hand. He will return the following day at the same time although the horses will only be present on Saturday. This free event will provide refreshments and a small gift for each child.
Karen Morris of The Six Bells said, “I just love Christmas and I’d always dreamed that one day Santa would grace our lovely pub with his presence. Well, it’s finally happened – and we’ve got his presence and presents! What more could you want this Christmas? We just can’t wait to welcome as many local children as we can to come and visit our fantastic Santa’s Grotto and meet the man himself.”

The pub, which is co-owned by Jacquie Nesbitt, has also been offering soup, tea and warm clothing to people in the area charging nothing to those in genuine need.
A sign inviting people in was put up two weeks ago and some have already grateful accepted the generous offer, but Jacquie is anticipating higher numbers during the current cold snap.
