Public Meeting to Be Held on 'Messy' West Ealing
Neighbours group want action on abandoned building sites

West Ealing Neighbours (WEN), a local community group, has arranged a public meeting later this month to discuss the state of the area.
The objective is to discuss why and how West Ealing, in the opinion of WEN, has become such a mess.
It is hoped that representatives of both public and private sector bodies will be on hand on Thursday 15 February to answer questions. The meeting is being held at the Drayton Court Hotel, 2 The Avenue, W13 8PH and begins at 7.30pm.
The main issue the event hopes to get to the bottom of is what can be done about over a dozen residential property developments in the area that have stalled. Some developer and building contractors have gone bust and many more development sites are planned but yet to be built on.

Other issues that will be discussed include the progress on changes to Dean Gardens, the endemic power failures that have plagued the area recently, segregated cycle lanes, parked cars along Uxbridge Road and the Broadway and the future of West Ealing Library.

Among those invited to attend are Ealing Council leader Peter Mason, Peter George, the borough’s Strategic Director of Economy and Sustainability, local MPs Virendra Sharma and Rupa Huq and representatives of SSE, A2Dominion and Catalyst.
