Ealing Property Sales - June 2013
House in Park View Road becomes Ealing's fifth most expensive
In all, 80 properties were transferred in Ealing and West Ealing during June, with 45 in the former and 35 in the latter.
The month saw an above average mean value for properties sold in W5 of £571,754, though prices were relatively low in W13, at an average of £456,320. 4 of the 80 transactions in the month involved properties worth over a million pounds; in Ealing the most valuable property sold was 57 Park View Road, which commanded a figure of £2.5 million. At the time of writing this is the fifth most expensive property ever sold in the Ealing area.
In West Ealing, only one property surpassed £1 million: 4 St. Stephen's Road, sold for £1,135,000.
The June data from Land Registry's House Price Index shows an annual price increase of 6.9% in London bringing the average property value to £383,930. Nationally the average in England and Wales rose to £162,621. Repossession volumes decreased by 26% in April 2013 to 1,185 compared with 1,599 in April 2012. The region with the greatest fall in the number of repossession sales was London where repossessions dropped by 37%.
The most up-to-date figures available show that during April 2013, the number of completed house sales in England and Wales increased by 12% to 48,367 compared with 43,252 in April 2012. From last April to April 2013, the number of properties sold in England and Wales for over £1 million in April 2013 increased by 45% to 703 from 484.
