Seven day a week access for residents
The borough’s reuse and recycling centre, Space Waye, is open to the public seven days a week from today (Monday 18 December).
This follows a closure for two weekends in December when works to improve it were undertaken.
Space Waye’s opening hours will now be 8am to 4pm every day.
Councillor Amrit Mann, Deputy Leader of Hounslow Council, said: “Space Waye has played a vital role in handling the borough’s recycled waste while the new £22m facility was built at Southall Lane, but we can now return Space Waye to its normal role.
“I would like to thank residents for their understanding while access to Space Waye has been reduced. It has ensured the borough now has the opportunity to recycle far more of its waste and this will benefit everyone.”
Residents are reminded that Space Waye will be closed on Christmas Day (Monday 25 December), Boxing Day (Tuesday 26 December), New Year’s Eve (Sunday 31 December) and New Year’s Day (Monday 1 January).
