Brentford & Isleworth MP says get your jabs in run up to Christmas
Ruth Cadbury getting her booster jab last month
Ruth Cadbury has urged local residents in Hounslow to get their booster vaccinations in the run up to Christmas.
The Brentford & Isleworth MP made the call as the Omicron Covid-19 variant continues to spread throughout the country with London seeing some of the highest infection rates.
She is endorsing the call made by the Chief Medical Officer Chris Whitty, who has spoken at length of the necessity of everyone to get their booster jabs and to do their bit to protect the NHS.
Speaking about the booster program Ruth said, “It’s so important you get the booster jab or your 1st or 2nd dose of the vaccine if you’ve not yet had them.
“I got my booster jab last month to protect myself, my family and my friends, and it’s vital that everyone who can get their booster vaccination does so. With the number of positive covid-19 cases increasing because of the Omicron variant getting vaccinated makes a huge difference.
“You can get your covid-19 vaccination by either attending one of the walk-in centres locally, or via booking through the national website or by calling 119.
“I also want to say a huge thanks to all our NHS staff and volunteers who have been working tirelessly to support the vaccination scheme. I know how tough the last two years have been and I know that everyone in our NHS will be working flat out to roll out the booster program.’’
Further information about how you can book online can be found below, along with a link to local vaccination sites in the borough including a drop-in clinic at West Middlesex Hospital.
