Brentford hit five goals in an entertaining 5-2 win over Gateshead at Griffin Park this evening

Ben Strevens opened the scoring (and his Bees account) in the 41st minute firing into the top corner before Charlie Macdonald doubled the lead before half time with a close range header

After the break Gateshead scored after about a quarter of an hour but were soon pegged back as Charlie latched onto a Bean pass to score his second of the night.

Myles Weston then added two goals - the first a near 35 yarder before Gateshead scored again in the 80th minute.

The game was witnessed by a fairly poor sub 2000 crowd as a result of a plethora of home matches and Gateshead's insistance on full price tickets.
