Possible stray dog, Ealing Road Brentford

Hi,Both me and my wife have seen a medium sized, dark brown unattended  dog at various times of the day.We first noticed it in late summer on the green in Ealing Road and have seen it at least half a dozen times since; it has been around most of the day Today [Sunday 17th November].At first I thought maybe it belongs to someone and has been let out to roam about; this may be the case as it appears to be quite healthy at a glance and I think I noticed it was wearing a collar when I saw it around about 5:00 am on the way to work one morning, but I'm not certain.Just wondering if anybody else knows whether this dog has an owner or not, but I suppose it's best to contact the dog warden and see if it can be investigated.

Low Water Pressure

Once again the residents of Isleworth are suffering from low water pressure due to the demand for water increasing in the current hot weather. When are Thames Water going to accept that they have got it wrong in this area. We need more pressure due to the huge amount of development locally, which is not helped by the pressure being delberately kept low to avoid further leaks from aging mains.Ron Curant.

Well done Hounslow Homes!

Not often this will happen but praise for the staff member at Hounslow Homes who has distributed a letter of apology to our home and others for the appalling noise radiating from Brook Road South where heavy plant began operating on Sunday morning, Remembrance  Sunday.Hat's off too to the few chaps who took on the mouthy crew at 8.30 am. I'm afraid I watched from my window. They had more guts than me.!!I know the development site is highly contentious but thats down to political games and not the contractors. But in this instance, it's good to see that HH will not tolerate this kind of practice, and have made it clear in writing.

Money, money, money

What is wrong with the local ATMs? ASDA - (otherwise known as the shop that has always run out of whatever you want or never had it in the first place) - their ATM is always up the Swanee. And since TESCO started work on whatever they're doing their ATMS are off more than on, it is just hopeless.

Premium rate phone calls to Government help lines - absolutely shocking!

I wrote to our MP concerning the 0870 numbers dished out to people wishing to contact the DWP but it wasn't something her people wanted to pursue.http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-2498592/How-State-makes-killing-premium-phone-lines-MPs-outrage-vulnerable-taxpayers-calling-help-rack-56million-bill.html"Nearly two thirds of calls fielded by government organisations were made to the higher-rate 0845 numbers, a Commons committee found. Only 40 out of the 365 customer phone lines are free to use.Anyone who phones a government line to report the death of a spouse for tax or benefits purposes pays premium rates, while the Student Loans Company also uses the numbers, saying that doing away with them would cost it £1million in revenue.Almost half the £56million was generated while callers were on hold, waiting to speak to advisers."I must say I find myself listening intently when Margaret Hodge pops up on telly...

Chiswick Roundabout/Kew Bridge

Does anyone know why the traffic is so congested?  Got a bus from Gunnersbury station to Brentford on Wednesday evening and the 237 turned right onto the Great West Road and then into Ealing Road.  I know they were moving a tree but there appeared to be something else beyond that. Today I went to Kingston and on the way back to Brentford the traffic was just inching along and had tailed back to Kew Gardens.  They decided to terminate the 65 in Brentford instead of continuing to Ealing Broadway.

St Paul's CE School Expansion Cancelled

Just heard that the plan for St Paul's CE Schoolto expand into Alexander House to allow for twoclasses in each year has been scrapped, thoughthe reason isn't clear - something to do withHounslow Council not being able to agree use ofthe building.Anyone know more? It's created a slightly odd situation where theircurrent reception year has 60 pupils, but nextyear's will only have 30.

Tesco Express London Rd

We residents who live above this shop are fed up with several things, we have twice Wrote to the store manager with NO reply and emailed head office twice they replied stating they would get back to us within 10Days.We have Written to Head Office with our complaint and still No reply. It seems they care about Profit not their Neighbours. What we are disgusted about.1. Lorries turning up to make Deliveries before the time they are allowed to by the Council 8am - 8pm some mornings they do deliveries at 0630 they are VERY noisy and it wakes up people who's bedrooms are above where the Truck Parks. We have notified the Councils but nothing has been done.2. Customers parking in front of our Front Communal door. This is a Health and safety issue as the door serves as a Fire Exit.Tesco are responsible for the Front Forecourt and for their Customers. We have a Single mum and a Disabled Resident who sometimes cant use the Front door because of Vehicles parking in front off our door.We asked Tesco to put a sign up telling their customers not to park in front off our door and they have ignored us.3. Big Metal trolleys at the Back of the Property.Sometimes there can be up to 30 Tall Trolleys at the back which they place half in our car park and sometimes they block are Back stairs when you tell them to move them they don't.4. Rubbish Bin.At the side of their store they have a large container Bin which is kept behind a tall wooden fence and gate, this Gate is always opened which allows kids to go in and pull stuff out of the Bins.We have asked Tesco to start padlocking the Gate, as a child could one day fall inside the Bin.5. Out Of date Bakery Items.Tesco do not place this in their Bin they place it ion a small open trolley which can cause Rats and Mice which they seem to not care about.6. Lastly a couple years ago tesco placed a air vent pipe in our communal area and the residents say they were not asked or notified about this. Now there is Damp around the Pipe.We Feel Tesco should sort out all these issues.

Further erosion of democracy in Hounslow

Good luck to any resident wHo wishes to object to a planning application as the Labour Administration have now reduced the time allowed to speak at the committee meeting to just two minutes!Just a coincidence I`m sure that many large controversial planning applications are due to be heard shortly which Labour are determined to shoe in before the elections
