If anyone can make a profit on Northern Rock Richard Branson can.

Well done to George Osborne for giving the go ahead on this sale, TV are making a meal of the fact that 747 Million will be paid however they say nothing of the other 253 Million to be paid over a 2 to 5 year period. Plus it means that the Northern Rock employees are hopefully safe from redundancy.Red Ed is going to investigate this sale, well blow me down a little bit of sunshine on the horizon for us and he decries it. I  have just watched him on the box the only credible thing he said was that these were hard times, I would think that is the most honest thing he has said since doing his brother out of the leadership deal.

Private policemen / secret policeman / council policeman

Interesting to see the council are giving it's employees the right to act as policeman, will the same checks and balances be implemented, will council employees be answerable to the police complaints authority or will they be like our traffic wardens answerable to no one.  If you allow a council policeman into your home will he like a proper policeman have the power to snoop/ search your home.  What will their powers be, who will they answer to, is their any difference between this plan and the practices of the old Soviet Union, China or any other dictatorship that uses governmental or local councils to spy on their citizens.  Non of these issues have been disused with or approved by me or any one I know, nobody as far as I know has been consulted and no behaviour policy been agreed. The council aren't paying for this we the taxpayers are yet we are being given now say and no safeguards!!

Labour MP Alan Keen dies after cancer battle

News from the BBC:The Labour MP Alan Keen has died at the age of 73 after what ex-PM Gordon Brown called a "heroic fight" against cancer.Mr Keen, whose wife Ann was a former Labour MP and health minister, had been MP for the London constituency of Feltham and Heston since 1992.He was chairman of Parliament's all-party football group and spent 18 years before becoming an MP as a scout for Middlesbrough football club.Mr Keen is survived by his wife, two sons and a daughter

The contempt that Nicolas Sarkozy holds for us is a disgrace!

This little midget of a man is nothing short of a bully,I am sorely disappointed in David Cameron's performance at the G20, for goodness sake young man it was like watching a schoolboy wanting to be noticed where on earth is your pride. This little guy may have been born in France however his heritage is Hungarian/Greek/French, his dad was an Hungarian Aristocrat who deserted him and his mum when he was young,he apparently felt inferior to his taller classmates at school(this is why he wears lifts in his shoes)also why he is such a bully.After watching him at the G20 I am certain that we should come completely away from Europe, he will cut us to pieces given the opportunity, after all his rhetoric to one of our reporters who questioned him yesterday was" you don't understand because you come from an Island" well Mr Sarkozy we do come from an Island I am very proud to say and remember that alone from 39 till 41 we held off the might of Hitlers Forces. Europe needs us far more than we need them, for over a thousand years we have stood alone, wipe the board clean of this last 50 years and let us stand alone once again. We will be much better off.

Now the Tom Watson Show has finished we have the Lord Leveson Inquiry?

Well Lord Leveson starts his official inquiry and already the Police and  the Crown Prosecution Service have asked to vet evidence being given before it becomes public of course this application was refused by Lord Leveson good for him.It has been ongoing since the inception of publications, that information is given by the police to help them with their inquiries however what is disturbing that all this time we have had no alleged arrests on police for giving out information. How can this possibly be a complete investigation when only one newspaper has been investigated.

Spring Gathering of the Tory Party cancelled can David Cameron no longer stand criticism.

This is a disgrace this event(known as Central Council) has taken place forever only stopping during World War Two, the feeble excuse given is a lack of funds what a load of codswallop. I thought that a PM needed the opinion of his MP's, you cannot pick and choose what to hear, the bad goes with the good. I never thought the day would come when I would say this however on a daily basis David Cameron seems to have become a clone of Tony Blair, we had such faith in you and we have had so many disappointments.You have a meeting with Angela Merkel this week does this mean that you are going to do as she wishes and not what is best for the UK, you need to stop and listen to the voice of the nation. Today on the box apparently our work situation is blamed on the Euro Crisis well a newsflash our unemployment has been going on for years we need an input of money into our Industries not Europe help us to help ourselves. For goodness sake don't go doing a Gordon Brown on us and signing us to anymore agreements, we need the repatriation of powers now.Germany and France are only interested in what is best for the own countries, they will in the not to distant future breakdown Europe to a tier basis,probably the 4 richest countries with of course Germany leading the next tier the other 13 countries then the dreaded Euro-zone who do not have a voice and if they do it is totally ineffectual, which will be ruled by Mrs Merkel,this lady has to be admired, she has achieved with her policies what Hitler could not do with his might,  we do not need or want this, remember any change to a treaty has to be put before parliament and the country.

FIFA will not allow our players to show the POPPY on their shirt's

It's OK to advertise almost anything on an athlete's shirt,but we cannot commemorate the Bravery and Loss of Armed Forces Worldwide who gave their lives so that we and most of the rest of the world could be safe.I say to our footballers wear the poppy with pride and to FIFA up yours mate!!!Funds raised by the sale of these poppies help to support the recovery of our wounded warriors,they should therefore be treated with the respect that is due,they are worn not as an emblem but as an acknowledgement to all those who fell in our wars.Support is so needed our warriors are forgotten once home by Parliament.

I have watched the news and read different newspapers ever since Mr.Papandreou the Greek Prime Minister made his announcement of giving his people a referendum on whether to take this wonderful bail out package given by the aforementioned illustrious couple, remember that this deal has not been written yet so agreement could involve many years of austarity for Greece.Obviously the world was aghast at such a dangerous thought, Markets lost a great deal of money,Governments told dire stories of what would happen if Greece were to default,how things have changed within a few day's we now have the Marcozy Duo demanding that Mr.Papandreou attend them at Cannes, poor guy is told off in the most extreme way and then makes an idiot of himself by saying that he most definatly wants Europe to work.We then have the dynamic duo(did I think that there were 17 Member States in Europe)come on the TV saying that Greece cannot vote on whether they accept the bailout but that they would have to vote on whether to stay in Europe, so where is the worry of Europe and Markets collapsing when a demand such as this has taken place.Just heard on the box Mr.Papandreou has offered his resignation "Job Done"the referendum will quitely disappear and all the other countries will now follow the lead of doing as they are told by the Marcozy Duo. I mean after all we had the Italian Government rushing a Cabinet meeting forward yesterday who have more debt than Greece, so the ploy appears to have been very effective does it not.

Scout Bazaar - 12th November - Isleworth & Syon School - 1.45pm

1st Osterley are a local successful Scout Group, offering exciting activities based on the scout programme.  The HQ is in the alley next to 63 Osterley Road, close to St Mary's Church.  They get no central funding, and depend on income from ternly subscriptions and fund raising events such as this bazaar.This year the bazaar is to be held at Isleworth & Syon School Ridgeway Road Isleworth TW7 5LJ at 1.45pm on Saturday 12th November 2011.Collections of donations will be sorted on Saturday 5th November, at the HQ - if you have items suitable for donation please drop them off in the morning from 9.30am.  Everyone will be donating their time as volunteers and there will be many people from the local community helping out with the collecting, sorting, at the bazaar and afterwards to tidy up.On the list of wanted items are the followingJewellery;  books;  bric a brac;  childrens, mens and ladies jumble;  hats;  bags and belts;  shoes;  household goods;  small electrical items;  white elephant items;  toys;  fancy goods;  furniture (small items only).  There is also a raffle and a tombola stall.Come along on the day and bag a bargain!  :-)

Poppy thieves -  beware

A women calling herself Stacey, attempted to steal a poppy collection box from a showroom on the Great West Road.  She told the receptionist there was a problem with the poppies and she had to remove them and the tin.  Please be careful if you have a poppy collection box and only return it to the person whose name is on the side of the tin.  Ask for identification if in doubt and call the number on the tin.There is no problem with the poppies.

Wonderful news Nick Clegg needs an additional 8 staff to spy on Whtehall!!

Nick Clegg has decided that the Lib Dems are under represented in Whitehall, consequently he persuaded David Cameron to allow him these extra political staff at a cost of wait for it 500 thousand pounds a year to we the tax payer probably more. Apparently they are to be called spads because they will be "Special Advisers"to individual departments. Why should these people be allowed to work in Whitehall when they are only there to spy on them and report to Mr Clegg.That kind of money could keep one man businesses on the go for quite a while.A Lib Dem source said 'we know we will take a bit of flak for this, but we need more political support in these departments'

Data Report - Heathrow Trials

Just to mention that the daily report for Tuesday is now up athttp://heathrowtrial.com/28 "TEAM" arrivals during the day7 after 7 am (therefore presumably 21 between 6am and 7 am)"TEAM used due to arrival delay trigger met, between 1200 and 1313."Surprisingly the report says that there were no night quota movements for flights between 2330-0430 local time (Arrivals/Departures). I find that hard to believe !There was also a report of a single "aircraft arrival operated outside the runway alternation pattern (excluding TEAM arrivals or emergencies)". I don't know what this is.Perhaps it is one of the other trials, and they are trying to land an A380 on the "wrong" runway but there isn't a trigger to allow them to count it as TEAM  at the time . ???I think the report captures most of the data I would expect (with the exception of what happened to the night flights) but I would have liked to see a row for the departures from the northern runway over Cranford and as well as the data on holding times in the stack, I would have liked the data on taxiing/holding times before departures (as the departure runway gets increasingly used for arrivals, there is a danger that, unless well managed, departing aircraft get caught up in queues before take-off).
